Penwortham Youth Club, supported by Penwortham Town Council and delivered by First Kick Foundation – A Safe, Fun and Free Space for Young People in Penwortham
Every week, Penwortham Youth Club, supported by Penwortham Town Council and delivered by First Kick Foundation, opens its doors at Penwortham Community Centre on Kingsfold Drive, offering a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for local young people. It’s a place to make friends, try new activities, and build confidence in a supportive community setting.
From arts and crafts to sports, games, and group projects, there’s something for everyone. Recently, young people have enjoyed everything from 3D printing workshops and friendly games of Uno, to preparing and sharing healthy snacks together. These sessions don’t just entertain — they give young people the chance to develop new skills, get creative, and have their voices heard. Leaders have already seen improvements in behaviour, teamwork, and confidence amongst participants.
This Summer, we also hosted a Celebration Event to mark the completion of phase one of the Youth Club. It was a fantastic chance to thank our incredible partners and supporters. Without their generosity of time, funding, and commitment, the Youth Club simply wouldn’t have been possible. A huge thank you goes to the Police Crime Commissioner’s Summer Fund, Penwortham Town Council, and LANPAC for their vital funding. We’re also grateful for the support of the Mayor of South Ribble, local Councillors, and our Neighbourhood Policing Team.
The Youth Club is already proving popular, with one young person describing it as: “Fun, friendly, and something to look forward to every week.” A parent added: “It’s brilliant to have somewhere local where my child feels safe, included, and excited to go each week.”
Weekly Youth Clubs
· Mondays, 6–8pm – Primary age
· Thursdays, 6–9pm – Secondary age
· Fridays, 6–8pm – Primary age
· Saturdays, 6–8pm – Secondary age
